Speaking the truth without love is harsh. Speaking love without truth is hollow. Biblical love refuses both extremes. We are called to speak the truth in love, not compromise the truth in the name of love. Real love cares enough to tell the truth, and real truth is delivered with grace. If truth is sacrificed, love loses its foundation. If love is sacrificed, truth loses its witness. "But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ" (Ephesians 4:15).
