Houses fall because they are not built upon God's Word. You see, God's Word needs to be the foundation beneath our feet and the formation of our lives. Without it, quicksand will be where we stand and crookedness will be the path of our plans. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain" (Psalm 127:1).

If the mind is nervous, the spine will not be courageous. Conversely, if our minds are fortified by faith, then our spines will be a fortress that stands in these evil days. In essence, when our mind is set on things above, we will not falter to things below. "Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth" (Colossians 3:2).

In a world that is hell-bent on unrighteousness, the Christian is heaven-bound by righteousness. You see, we are bound to righteousness because we have been liberated by Christ's righteousness. "And having been set free from sin, you become slaves of righteousness" (Romans 6:18).

The Church does not gather as a social club but for a spiritual cause. And that cause is not only worthy of our fight to the end, but it is eternal in its dividends. The cause of Christ is the greatest cause of life. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek" (Romans 1:16).

In the embrace of God's favor, we find our provision and protection, for His strong arm covers the righteous with unwavering defense. In other words, the Lord’s favor is our armor. "For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield" (Psalm 5:12).

If it’s against God’s Word, then it is always wrong, regardless of what culture or popular opinion says. You see, God's Word does not conform to man; contrary actually, man is supposed to conform to God's Word. "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope...
