If you think you're going to heaven, but heaven doesn't influence the way you think, then I think you need to re-think that thought. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).
We may not be able to see every detail of God's plan in front of us, but we can trust His purpose is always good for us. And when we learn to trust His heart, His peace begins to enter ours. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).
The love of Christ not only defines us but it also defends us. You see, it defines us because He died for us and it defends us because His Spirit lives in us. "In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him" (I John 4:9).
When the Word of God is not the divine order that determines human order, the result is disorder. Look around, this is the reason for all of the confusion. And during these disorienting times, nothing can bring peace of soul, faith of heart, and clarity of mind except the Word of God.
