You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
When we chase the wind, we end up empty. When we chase the Word, we end up full. The world offers noise; Christ offers nourishment. “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).
It is the vocation of every Christian to love God most so that we can love others best. This doesn't mean we condone sin, but it does mean we do not condemn. "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God" (I John 4:7).
Our greatest need is met when we realize Jesus is all we need. "God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Phil 4:19).
This world may be trying to push God out of it, but don't you dare let it push God out of you. Therefore, stand firm against the godless pressure by fully resting in God's power. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16).
Our sin is a lot darker and uglier than we think. And God's grace is a lot greater and glorious than we know. Repent from the former; rejoice in the latter. "But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more..." (Romans 5:20).
Contrary to the word of faith movement, you don't claim your healing, the Healer claims you. You see, faith isn't built on our word but taking God at His Word. "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17).
Let us be more concerned with living righteous than proving we are right. You see, God calls us to defeat darkness not debate foolishness. "Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous" (I John 3:7).
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
Sarah and I are getting ready to depart for Norfolk, Nebraska. If you could hear me, I would say that with the finest Mid-West accent I could muster up. I know a little about the Mid-West since I traveled into that area several times during my pro soccer playing days. However, this time we are going there to lead a youth rally. Sarah’s friends are the youth leaders and they graciously extended the invite. Needless to say, it’s an honor to be “called” to other states to do God’s work. In the words of Jesus, “I must....
Box God in! The last time man tried to do that, He rose from the dead. And because of the Resurrection, everything about our life needs to consider resuscitation. Our faith needs to rise. Our love needs to rise. Our hope needs to rise. Our prayers need to rise. Our vision needs to rise. Our esteem needs to rise. Our peace needs to rise. Our joy needs to rise. Our attitudes need to rise. How can we limit a limitless God? It’s time to get up from the tomb of gloom. Daylight has already broken loose. Arise to righteousness..... Like Jesus, real faith refuses to be buried.
I don’t deserve God’s grace. I don’t know how to receive His love. I don’t know who I am. I need to know who He says I am. BECAUSE… Who am I not to love -- when....
Palm Sunday! I am humbled to know my role as it pertains to the “Triumphant Entry” of Jesus into Jerusalem. The position that guarantees me His peace that sits upon me and His presence that always has my back! You might think that the best role is as one who holds the palm branch, waving it as a sign of victory. But that can’t be the case, because a week later that same position that yelled “Hosanna”—save now—was yelling “Crucify Him right now!” Or perhaps....
