You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Worry borrows tomorrow’s problems but spends today’s peace. The weight we imagine for the future often crushes our joy in the present. But God doesn’t ask us to carry tomorrow, He invites us to cast every care onto Him today. “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
God made us on purpose for a purpose. "On purpose" because He doesn't make mistakes and "for a purpose" because He wants our lives to highlight His great grace. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).
The Gospel of Christ confronts us before it converts us. You see, if the flesh is not put to death, the spirit cannot walk in newness of life. "And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires" (Galatians 5:24).
A heart that is set upon the joy of heaven cannot be beset by the sorrow of earth. Oh sorrows will happen, but the joy of the Lord is our weapon. "Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10).
Stop trying to pray away the very trial God has sent your way. Instead, ask God to have His way within the trial by making you more like Him through the trial. "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing...
God's promises are much bigger than our problems. So instead of seeing the day through those problems, begin to see the day through His promises. He knows what you need and He has you where He needs...
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the shocking truth of how we have been lovingly accepted by a God whom we blatantly rejected. In other words, our reality is that we deserved death, yet Christ served us life. "Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
My first Christmas home in about 5 years was a divine success. And I hate to spoil anybody’s seasonal cheer, but it had nothing to do with decorations, gifts, nor festive celebrations. You see, my first Christmas in prison was just like this past Christmas in freedom. How so? Well, both centered on the massive peace of CHRIST, not the mass that only gives you a piece of Christ. No offense to anyone that reduce Jesus’ birth to a singular day. However, if such a divine intervention were....
Merry CHRISTmas! I recently saw the movie Exodus: gods & kings, and what a major let down. You see, when you know the true story, the worlds portrayal of it is always empty. I left the theater greatly distressed about the script that Hollywood concocted, which was at the expense of the truth of Scriptures and the reality of God’s holiness. I wonder how many people viewed that movie and thought.....
Is it just a Christmas story or can there be a Christmas reality? Well, whichever one you perceive is determined by the “Christmas” that you conceive in the womb of your heart. One births purpose, and the other, well, just presents. You see, what if I told you God’s testimony starts with a birth, was fulfilled with a death, and continues with your life? And the only way it can really end is if you don’t allow His message to enter your mess. Anyway, I will continue with this thought as I am honored to be speaking at Crest Community Church, located at 5901 Pacific Avenue, Wildwood Crest, NJ 08260, on Christmas Eve this year......
Nine years later and we’re still saying “we’ll see you later!” “But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me" (II Samuel 12:23). We’re going to those who have gone before us. Those who are not gone from us, but absent from us. Those who are dead to this side of life, but alive and whole on the other side with Christ. We are going to them! Not to be with just them, but to be with Jesus with them. That is what heaven is! A means to get to Jesus......
