You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
The devil’s accusations stop where the blood of Jesus starts; and hell’s fury can’t outrun Heaven’s victory. Stay covered by the blood, anchored in the Word, and fearless in your testimony. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death" (Revelation 12:11).
Karma says that "we get what we deserve." But the cross says that "Christ died the death we deserved and then gave us His life in return."
What the day brings us shouldn't dictate what we bring to the day. Meaning, let us be thankful everyday because our God is faithful in every way. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever" (I Chronicles 16:34).
True hope is not based on wishing that "good things" will work out. True hope is knowing that God will work things out for our good. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).
Fact: Those who are filled up with the love of God in Christ will be those who pour out such love on other people’s lives.
People may not like you based on what they've heard about you, but God still loves you in spite of what He knows about you. Think about that! "How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!" (Psalm 139:17)
Only Jesus can fill the hole in the empty soul. Only Jesus can holy mend the hurting mind. And only Jesus can lovingly lift the heavy heart. "I call on the LORD in my distress, and He answers me" (Psalm 120:1).
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
This blog is for me. It’s my reminder to remember where I once was and the work that only God could have ever accomplished. It’s so easy to forget the past places we’ve been and even the past faces we’ve seen. For me, the place was prison; and for this blog, the face is a young man named Tommy. When I first met Tommy, his nickname was Toast. Tommy Toast. And he “earned” this name because he spent a lot of time being “burnt out.” You see, Tommy was a self-proclaimed heroin addict. His addiction made heroin his salvation. However, his pursuit for the false salvation of drugs only left him so high that his actions consequentially led him to be so low. Oh so low. How low can you go? Well, this level has only one condition and position lower, and that is.....
Oh Lord, I do not know why You have found favor with me, nor can I ever explain properly how gracious and merciful You have been with my life, for there are no words that could express such magnitude, such greatness, such splendor. Your NAME alone is worthy to be praised and adored. With no solitary act behind it and just three letters on a piece of paper, G-O-D, is worth more than life itself. Your NAME holds more weight than this world and at the sound of your NAME alone, the hearts of mankind shatter and nations crumble. But You declare more than just....
Jesus said, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first” (John 8:7). And the only one who was sinless to throw, was the only one who wanted ALL sinners to know. Jesus wanted everyone down the ages to know that it is much better to be a stone than to throw a stone. You see, anyone can pick up a stone to judge, but what if we learned to pick up the characteristics of a stone to love? How so? Well, if “IMAYB a Stone,” than I cannot afford to throw....
We are officially home from our vacation time, but I have to admit that I have not left behind my “vacation mind.” What’s a vacation mind? It’s a state of mind that unwinds so that the peace of God may enter in. It’s a mind that rewinds to reflect and keeps God at the center. It’s a mind that finds its vacation in Christ without needing to escape from the everyday responsibilities of life. You see, this vacation didn’t help me get away, it actually reminded me to stay close. The time I spent in the Sunshine State reminded me of the shine that can only be found when you take time to “lay out” in the present state of....
