One of the dangers of living in a culture constantly flooded with darkness is that people slowly lose sensitivity to it. What once shocked the conscience eventually becomes entertainment. Tragedy becomes trendy. Violence becomes viral. And hearts grow colder with every scroll. Jesus warned that in the last days “because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12). The answer is not to become numb alongside the culture, but to ask God to keep our hearts tender, discerning, reverent, and awake to truth.

When the foundations of a culture begin to crack, the Church must not panic, it must stand on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. Moments of shaking are often invitations from God to return to humility, repentance, discernment, and deeper dependence upon Him. “If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3)

Everyone builds their life on something. Some build on success, some on comfort, some on control, but storms have a way of revealing what cannot hold us up. God often allows pressure not to destroy us, but to expose what is lasting. In a world that constantly trembles, the safest place to stand is still in Christ. His kingdom cannot be shaken, and neither can those anchored in Him. “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear" (Hebrews 12:28).
