You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Gratitude turns what we have into enough, because it shifts our focus from what’s missing to Who is present. A thankful heart sees God’s hand in both plenty and in pain, and finds peace in His provision. When we practice gratitude, lack loses its grip and contentment takes its place. “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
It is better to fail over and over again at being faithful than to succeed over and over again at things that are faithless. "The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again" (Psalm 24:16).
Unity without the Gospel is actually worthless. People may be drawn together for a common purpose, but there is no such thing as true unity without Jesus. You see, any cause that does not elevate the God of eternity is only fulfilling the divisive plan of the enemy. "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity" (Psalm 133:1).
Faith and works are bound up in the same bundle. He that obeys God trusts God; and he that trusts God obeys God. He that is without faith is without works; and he that is without works is without faith. (Charles Spurgeon)
God plays chess not checkers. And He's not playing against the devil like many suppose. He's actually playing alone, countering and cornering every step we take and even every mis-step we make. His sole objective is to get us to see His Checkmate--Christ on the Cross--when He willingly gave us His King. You can accept Him or reject Him? The next move is yours!
Only God can open doors to enter hearts; and only God can open hearts to enter doors. In other words, God will provide a way where there is no way so that closed hearts can be reached and revived. And He will also inspire dead hearts to life so that new territory can be gained for the Kingdom . "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert" (Isaiah 43:19)
Faith in Jesus will get you to rise up when everyone else is sitting down. "Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong" (I Corinthians 16:13).
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
We are often waiting for the provision of God but without the right vision of God. Meaning, it is easy to miss the fact that God's very presence is our ever-present provision. Always. God is there. He is always there. And when Jesus ascended back to heaven, He left us with the Helper of Heaven. The Holy Spirit. Thus, the greatest provision for the soul...
The ministry of Jesus was publicly loud. So loud--that His life and love 2000 years later--are still impacting hearts and changing the world for the good. The question must be asked then--How did He accomplish so much in such a short period of time? Well, after a close look within the Scriptures, we will discover that....
About a week before Jesus would go through Gethsemane and to the cross of Calvary, His agony is seen visually and heard verbally in regards to His impending death. However, His death was the purpose in which He came and it is important to know that death did not interrupt His ministry, it fulfilled...
The pattern of pain has taught me much. Pain comes with a paragon, and if followed closely, leads to appreciation and passion to be used for greater purpose. Straying away from pain however, only brings you closer to shame. And when in shame, we shut down or lash out. Shutting down leads to depression and lashing out leads to guilt projection. Not the purpose of pain whatsoever...at least not....
