You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Gratitude turns what we have into enough, because it shifts our focus from what’s missing to Who is present. A thankful heart sees God’s hand in both plenty and in pain, and finds peace in His provision. When we practice gratitude, lack loses its grip and contentment takes its place. “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
When the heart is open to Jesus, the ear is open to His word, the lips are opened in prayer, the hand is opened in charity, and the steps are opened in obedience.
The heart that fails to love God will successfully love the things of this world. And no matter how much success you find in the world, you will never find satisfaction outside of the Lord. "For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world." (I John 2:15)
For the Christian, true greatness always begins where self is lost and Christ is found. Conversely, those who live with “self” as their main focus will always miss the plan and presence of Jesus.
Be careful what you believe in. Be mindful of the people you lean on. Be cautious of the voices you subscribe to. Be on guard with the sources you read through. Follow the Truth of Christ over the worlds trends, because to follow lies will lead to a sure end. #TruthOverTrend
Worry not, for the needs you have in your heart are already met by Gods hands. "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).
Father, grant me the character that is greater than my gifts and the humility that is greater than my influence. Amen.
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
Something God has placed in my heart as a Pastor is the idea of “Re-churching the Church.” The Church in America has become weak, ineffective, cowardly and has strayed from preaching the full counsel of God to the ecclesia (aka church) which means...
I have heard so many people state that they have never lived through such a time of deep deception and lofty lies. They permeate everywhere: they contradict all norms, any ability to be a critical thinker, promote group-think, and are...
Being the father of two children, as well as a Teaching Pastor, I cannot help but to take pause when I look at the schizophrenic times we are currently living in and relate it directly to the above biblical admonition. I am currently teaching from the book of Daniel which contains...
With so many things going backwards in this world, I think it is time for a few biblical reminders. Remember: Regardless of what’s in front of you--“This too shall pass” and ultimately “God helps those who help themselves.” HOLD UP A MINUTE! I’m sorry to break it to you but neither of these sayings are...
