You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Gratitude turns what we have into enough, because it shifts our focus from what’s missing to Who is present. A thankful heart sees God’s hand in both plenty and in pain, and finds peace in His provision. When we practice gratitude, lack loses its grip and contentment takes its place. “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
When the heart is open to Jesus, the ear is open to His word, the lips are opened in prayer, the hand is opened in charity, and the steps are opened in obedience.
The heart that fails to love God will successfully love the things of this world. And no matter how much success you find in the world, you will never find satisfaction outside of the Lord. "For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world." (I John 2:15)
For the Christian, true greatness always begins where self is lost and Christ is found. Conversely, those who live with “self” as their main focus will always miss the plan and presence of Jesus.
Be careful what you believe in. Be mindful of the people you lean on. Be cautious of the voices you subscribe to. Be on guard with the sources you read through. Follow the Truth of Christ over the worlds trends, because to follow lies will lead to a sure end. #TruthOverTrend
Worry not, for the needs you have in your heart are already met by Gods hands. "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).
Father, grant me the character that is greater than my gifts and the humility that is greater than my influence. Amen.
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
I am currently writing these thoughts at 30,000 feet in the air. At the moment, it is a very bumpy flight and there is even a thickness of clouds that prevents you from being able to see the “sky-view” outside of the window. Oh how the view of the...
People often ask me, "What is Proverbs 3:5-6" because they see it tattooed on my arm. And without any thought, I usually just recite it off the top of my dome like the Pledge of Allegiance, but rarely considering whether or not I am allegiant to that...
The deeper I get into ministry, the deeper I feel other people's misery. There are so many hurting. So many suffering. So much pain. And not enough soothing. Where are the concerned Christians whose lives should be hospitals for the hurting? Where are the...
Have you ever looked into the eyes of someone and saw nothing? Not even hurting eyes or weeping eyes, but dark eyes. Eyes can say so much, yet it's hard to translate the thoughts of some eyes because you're only human....
