You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Gratitude turns what we have into enough, because it shifts our focus from what’s missing to Who is present. A thankful heart sees God’s hand in both plenty and in pain, and finds peace in His provision. When we practice gratitude, lack loses its grip and contentment takes its place. “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
When the heart is open to Jesus, the ear is open to His word, the lips are opened in prayer, the hand is opened in charity, and the steps are opened in obedience.
The heart that fails to love God will successfully love the things of this world. And no matter how much success you find in the world, you will never find satisfaction outside of the Lord. "For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world." (I John 2:15)
For the Christian, true greatness always begins where self is lost and Christ is found. Conversely, those who live with “self” as their main focus will always miss the plan and presence of Jesus.
Be careful what you believe in. Be mindful of the people you lean on. Be cautious of the voices you subscribe to. Be on guard with the sources you read through. Follow the Truth of Christ over the worlds trends, because to follow lies will lead to a sure end. #TruthOverTrend
Worry not, for the needs you have in your heart are already met by Gods hands. "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).
Father, grant me the character that is greater than my gifts and the humility that is greater than my influence. Amen.
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
Before any battle was led and any blood was shed, there was the great battle in heaven. A battle for the throne. Lucifer wanted to exalt his throne above the stars of God and be like Him on high (Isaiah 14:12-14). But God cast him out of heaven with the other rebellious angels, and down to earth they fell. And this began a...
These are certainly the days of Lot (Luke 17:28), but where are the Lots of these days-- “for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and...
With so much contention over politics and the upcoming midterm elections, here is a question worth answering. Whose government is right? In other words, what is the right form of government as God would have it? And before we answer this question specifically and biblically, let’s consider the Christian’s role in relation to...
The enemy runs the same 4 plays. His puppets move to his strings and his parrots sing when he says sing. 1.) Contradict Truth: this is the first step in throwing off God’s absolutes. If up is down and down is up, if left is right and right is left, then there are no boundaries and order to be kept. Without divine order determining...
