You’ll find two types of blogs here: long-form (Blog) & short-form (Daily Dose).
Gratitude turns what we have into enough, because it shifts our focus from what’s missing to Who is present. A thankful heart sees God’s hand in both plenty and in pain, and finds peace in His provision. When we practice gratitude, lack loses its grip and contentment takes its place. “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
We will not come to appreciate infinite grace until we recognize our infinite distance from Grace. In other words, we were lost in an abyss of sin until God sent us His only begotten Son. And His infinite presence of grace overwhelmed our infinite distance of disgrace. "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men" (Titus 2:11) and His name is Jesus.
The Gospel of Christ isn't just good news that catches the eye, it is the power of God that changes the heart and then makes the heart God’s home.
To say that “God doesn’t give us more than we can handle” is simply not true. You see, the only way we will ask God for His hand to enter our lives is if He does allow circumstances that we cannot get a handle on ourselves to enter our lives. Again, He does give us more than we can handle as a way for us to ask for His hand.
If you don’t change your mind, God won’t change your heart. Conversely, if you change your mind, you are giving God access to begin changing your heart.
You may not understand the reason behind your hardship, but you can still trust God that the result will be for your spiritual benefit.
The wealthiest person in the world is not the one with the most gold in their hand, but the one with the fullness of God in their heart. You see, nothing can add more value to your life than your relationship with Jesus.
On Labor Day weekend, I’ll begin a new teaching series at Landmark Church titled “The Last Revelation: Countdown To The Kingdom.” For the past several months, I’ve been studying, praying, and seeking the Lord in preparation for what He desires to...
Humankind by our very nature thrives on attention and adulation. We are enamored by celebrities, powerful leaders, status, and laud all things with high standing and notable visibility. We line up to see Presidents, tune it to watch royal weddings, and revel in the pomp and circumstance of award shows with...
No matter what is happening, the Christian knows God is sovereign, which means He reigns over everything. And if God allowed it, He will bring good out of it. This truth isn’t wishful thinking, but rather faithful thinking that...
Dear Church Folk—an open letter from my heart! I know my opinion is pretty irrelevant, but I thought I might just think out loud here for a second because I’m around a lot of “Christians” and seem to be noticing a trend here. When dealing with...
Have you ever wondered why bad things can happen to God’s people? Many people actually believe that identifying as a Christian is reason enough to get a free pass from things going awry in this life. Afterall, they postulate, God wouldn’t...
