The breakdown of society did not cause the collapse of the family; the collapse of the family has fueled the breakdown of society. God designed the family (anchored by a biological father and a biological mother within the covenant of marriage) as the most stable environment for nurturing children. Within that God-ordained nucleus, character is formed, truth is taught, and order is learned. When the family is strengthened, society finds its balance again. “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1).

God establishes government to restrain evil, not to redefine it. Romans 13 teaches that authority is a servant of God for good, not a substitute for God’s truth. When rulers punish evil, they fulfill their calling, but when they reward evil and punish righteousness, they step outside it. Our obedience to government is real, but it is never higher than our obedience to God. “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29)

Deception is at an all-time high, and no one is immune to it. To avoid being led astray, we must rely on the Word of God before us, the Spirit of God within us, and the people of God around us. God designed truth to be guarded in Scripture and reinforced in godly community, where wisdom and safety are found together. When those anchors hold, discernment follows. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

The deepest tragedy in any loss of life is not just that a life ended, but whether that life was anchored in Christ. Eternity is not entered by sincerity or religion, but by reconciliation with Jesus as Savior. In a world that insists all paths lead to God, Scripture reminds us that anything built apart from Christ is standing on shifting sand. Only a true relationship with Jesus secures our hope beyond the grave. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’” (John 14:6).

Lawlessness doesn’t begin in the streets; it begins in the heart when God’s authority is rejected. When truth is inverted, conscience becomes distorted, and what restrains evil is suddenly labeled evil itself. Scripture calls believers to see clearly, stand faithfully, and refuse to let emotion replace morality. Even when the world feels unstable, God remains sovereign, and His order still stands. “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12).

When we insist on settling scores ourselves, we carry a weight God never intended us to bear. Scripture shows that evil doesn’t need our help to fail, it collapses when exposed to God’s light. Releasing the outcome to the Lord guards our hearts from bitterness and keeps us aligned with His righteousness. True strength is trusting God to handle what we cannot. “The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:14).
