God’s providence is not simply when circumstances work out the way we hoped. He is just as sovereign in the valley as He is on the mountaintop, in the unanswered prayer as He is in the answered one. Faith doesn't require us to understand every circumstance; it trusts the God who stands over every circumstance. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

God never promised that nothing around us would shake. He promised to be our refuge when it does. Our peace is not found in stable circumstances, but in the presence of an unshaken God. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

“Be still” does not mean that nothing around you is raging; it means you refuse to let the raging within you become greater than the God above you. Release what you cannot control and remember who remains in control. The battlefield may be loud, but God never has to raise His voice to maintain His throne. “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

What feels uncontrolled to us is never uncontrolled by God. Evil may be permitted for a season, but it is never sovereign; God determines its reach and its expiration. Whatever you are facing today, remember that it can go only as far and last only as long as God allows. “The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all” (Psalm 103:19).

Life can change quickly, and the things we assumed were secure can suddenly fall away. But when everything around us comes undone, God remains unmoved. Our confidence is not that life will never shake, but that God will always be our refuge in the shaking. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

Leadership is not about being seen; it is about faithfully serving where God has placed you. Much of what advances the Kingdom happens through sacrifices that few people ever notice, but God sees every one. Healthy ministry is never carried by one person, but by many faithful people carrying the mission together. You may serve behind the scenes, but never beyond the sight of God. “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men” (Colossians 3:23).
