Faithfulness to Jesus has always carried a cost. From the first-century martyrs to Columbine, and now to Charlie Kirk, some in America have sealed their testimony with blood. Not all are called to die for Christ, but all are called to live faithfully for Him each day. Martyrs may lose their breath, but they never lose their crown. “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life" (Revelation 2:10).
Nothing about your life is a mistake. If God allowed it, that's because He wants to develop your character through it and also because He wants to use it.
Don't hide your fractures nor cover up your bruises, for both are the ingredients that God uses. You see, God looks to launch His grace through our brokenness and weakness, so that His strength would be obvious.
The Gospel is not just information that confronts the mind. The Gospel is a Person who transforms the heart. Jesus is the only One who can deconstruct the twisted soul and reconstruct it into something whole. Make no mistake, nothing in this world is more powerful than the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
When you are open to do more for God, He will be open to do more through you. You see, what is required isn't great talent, but great intent. Meaning, be simply willing to show up so that God can supremely show out. God will do great things through the individual who allows Him.
No sin, no shame, no past, no pain....know Jesus. Do you know the One who died for your sin and shame, the only One who can redeem your past and pain? Do you know Jesus personally? Again, when you know Jesus, you know peace.
If you only see your own pain, you'll never see God's perfect plan.
A line has indeed been crossed. It happened so quickly you might not have seen it, but you can feel it. And it is being felt in a very real way. The spiritual darkness upon our land is the direct result of godless people and policies that have brought America to her knees....
I stand on Christ alone as my foundation. Without Him, all other ground is sinking sand. Quicksand. Thus, I need His legs to stand! I state that, confidently and experientially, to say this: God has been preparing “tables” before me in the presence of my enemies and I am excited for what is to come with such influences. The reality is that none of these opportunities have been afforded to me because of my college degree or athletic pedigree. These past building blocks aren’t the main reasons for my present platforms. I mean they are stepping stones to be leveraged with every influential step I take, but they are.....
I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time sitting back and watching the world around me with its relentless propaganda of trash. If the ways of the world are unapologetically belligerent in putting out their message, then why should I be any less brazen with my conviction. Hence, #iCONVICTION. It’s mine, God gave it to me, so I’m owning it; and with every platform He gives me, I am cloning it. “That’s not the way God would do it,” some may conjecture. Really?
(ThrowBack to Prison) I’ve met so many Killa’s along the way so far on this prison journey. Actually, let me elaborate on that statement. I have met so many inmates with the nick-names of Killa thus far. Killa C. Killa B. And every other letter attached to the word ‘kill’ with the replacement of ‘a’ instead of the proper ‘er’ ending. Then there are the countless Murda’s I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Murda, not murder, but Murda G and even a G-Murder. There’s been one Trauma and several....
Accountability always unlocks opportunities. And when God gives you a vision, He always confirms it with His provision. So as long as I govern my #iCONVICTION with the Lord’s leadership, then I will always be following “goodness and mercy”—or they will be following me! On that note, I was invited to speak at Coastal Christian Ocean City tonight--the 22nd--at 7 PM. I will be teaching from one of the most quoted Psalms in the Bible, yep you guessed it, Psalm 23.
